More consultations booked.Even when your team is busy or closed.
Practice Desk is an AI front desk for your practice's website. It answers every enquiry from your own information, by chat or by voice, and turns questions into booked consultations. It works like live chat, except nobody has to staff it, and it actually knows your practice.

Enquiries slip through when your team can't get to them.
Every one of those could have been a new client.
Your team can't always get to it
Partners are in client meetings and everyone else is heads-down on returns and year ends. The phone rings out and web enquiries wait.
People look for an accountant after hours
In the evening and at weekends, often with a deadline looming. A contact form feels like a wait, so some try the next practice instead.
The same questions, all day
"Are you taking on new clients?", "What do you charge?", "Do you do payroll?", "Can you help with Making Tax Digital?" Practice Desk handles those, so your team can get on with client work.
Built around your practice. Not a template.
You don't need to learn anything or write anything. I do the setup, the testing and the upkeep.
I learn your practice
I read your public website, then we have a 30-minute chat to cover what it doesn't say: who you take on, how your fees work, what a first meeting involves, who calls new enquiries back.
I build and test it
Your front desk is tested against 30 real client questions, including the awkward ones: "how do I pay less tax?", fees, a worrying HMRC letter, an unhappy client. It goes live only when it passes.
Two lines on your website
It sits in the corner of every page like live chat. Clients type or talk to it and never leave your site. Works with WordPress and most website builders.
Every enquiry turned into a lead you can call
Each conversation is turned into a tidy summary: who they are, how to reach them, and what they need help with.

Looking to switch accountants. Asked how the handover from her current accountant works.
Worried about a letter from HMRC. Reassured him, asked for no account details, and logged it for an urgent callback.
Leads, not just chats
Name, number, business type, what they need and any deadline, ready for a call back. Straight to your inbox, or into the CRM you already use.
Worried clients reach a person
A client with an HMRC letter or a complaint gets reassurance and a promise of a call, never a guess. You see it straight away.
A monthly report
What people asked, the leads it caught, and any questions it couldn't answer, so we keep making it better.
Not another chat widget.
Live chat needs someone free to answer it. Most chatbots follow a script and frustrate people. Practice Desk does the job of a good practice receptionist.
| Contact form | Live chat | Typical chatbot | Practice Desk | |

It won't say anything you wouldn't.
Agreed with you before it goes live, and tested before every change.
Only your information
It answers from your website and what you've told us. If it doesn't know, it says so and offers a callback.
No tax advice
It never tells anyone what to claim, how to save tax or what they owe. It offers a call with your team instead.
No made-up fees
It shares only the fees you publish, then offers a free consultation for a proper quote.
Honest that it's AI
It tells people it's an AI assistant, and puts them through to your team whenever they want a person.
No sensitive details
It never asks for UTRs, National Insurance numbers, bank details or passwords, and asks people not to share them in chat.
Confidential by design
It never discusses a client's affairs in chat. Details go only to you, set up to UK GDPR with a simple data processing agreement.
See it on your own website.
Book a 15-minute chat and I'll show you a Practice Desk built from your own website, answering the questions your clients really ask. Ask it anything, by chat or by voice. These are good ones to start with:
- What do you charge for a tax return?
- How can I pay less tax?
- I've had a letter from HMRC and I'm worried
You deal with me, start to finish.
Practice Desk is a small, independent business in the North East. The person who sets up your front desk is the same person who tests it, looks after it and picks up when you call. No call centre, no account manager, and no dashboard left for you to figure out.
I'm working with a small number of independent accountancy practices
- Built on your own website, using your information
- 30-day trial so you can see the leads before deciding
- Set up, tested and looked after for you
- No long contract
Things partners ask
Will it give tax advice?
No. It's set up never to give tax or financial advice, work out what someone owes or tell them what they can claim. When someone asks, it explains that's one for your team and offers a call. It's tested on exactly those questions before it goes live, and again before every change.
What if it gets something wrong?
It only answers from your information, and when it isn't sure it says so and offers a callback rather than guessing. Before it goes live it's tested against 30 real client questions. I read the conversations every week in the first month and fix anything that isn't right.
Will clients know it's an AI?
Yes. It introduces itself as your virtual assistant and says it's an AI whenever it's asked. Anyone who wants a person can leave their details for a callback.
Will it work on my website?
Almost certainly. It's two lines of code, added once. It works on WordPress, Wix, Squarespace and most other website builders. If someone else manages your site, I'll send them the instructions.
Can it answer the phone too?
It can. Missed-call answering is available once your website front desk is up and running, which helps most in the run-up to 31 January. Ask about it on our chat.
What about client confidentiality and data?
Enquiry details go only to you, I work as your data processor under UK GDPR, and we agree how long conversations are kept. It never asks for UTRs, National Insurance numbers or bank details, and never discusses an existing client's affairs in chat.
Turn more enquiries into new clients.
I'll show you what Practice Desk would say to your clients, using your own website.
